Add a new folder in your Mods called Overrides, and then update your resource.cfg to give that folder priority. If you’re familiar with the Sims 3’s modding scene, the process for doing this is basically exactly the same as it was for that game.
Nothing else in Zero’s packages relies on anything in the specific file I edited, so making mine load last and override that part of Zero’s package won’t break anything. So, like I mentioned in the post for the criminals mod, although that mod technically edits some files that are also edited in Zero’s No Randoms mod, you can easily make the two compatible by making my mod load last. But I have no idea what is wrong with my Mods folder. It occurred to me while I was making my Police Station Criminals are Criminals Mod that some folks out there may not know how to create a working Overrides folder.Īnd if you don’t know what that is, it’s basically a folder that you can use to resolve (some) conflicts between mods that edit the same tuning resources.
And also, I have checked if my custom content box is ticked in the game, and it is. But ever since the City living resource pack and such, it has not been working. My mods used to work with an older version of The Sims 4. And it doesn't seem to be the CC itself, because every CC file I've downloaded is not detected. The CC I download is from The Sims 4 Resource site.
I have checked the CC to see if they're all package files, and they are. And also, I deleted the resource.cfg file in my mods folder to see if it would refresh it when I went on the game, but when I got on the game and check my mods folder again, it didn't give me a new one. It's like the game is not reading the mods folder. But when I try to download my own and put it in my mods folder, none of it is detected. But I don't know where they came from, because I didn't download any of the CC it was showing. When I launch the game, it already has some CC detected when it pops up your mods. I have recently updated my Sims 4 game to version 1.30.105.101 or the Parenthood patch.
